Please note that from 13 February 2012 (Monday), the side gate (nearest to the bus stop) will be opened for half-an-hour during the school dismissal.The timing are as follow:Monday 2pm - 2.30pmTuesday 1.30pm - 2pmWednesday 1240pm - 1.10pmThursday 1.30pm - 2pmFriday 12.40pm -1.10pmNotices have been put up at the gate. A reminder to all to observe road safety rules in and out of school.

Invitation as Co-author (preparation for eLearning Week)
The eLearning week is going to take place in Term 2.
To facilitate learning and submission of work remotely, please check to see that:
1. You have been invited as a co-author to the class blog & subject blog (if your subject is using the blog).
- If you are not a co-author yet, please provide your email to your form teacher/ subject teacher so that you can be invited to be the co-author of the blog.
- eLearning schedule and activities will be posted in the Googlesite.
- Please see Ms Rini (ICT HelpDesk) to reset the password if you are unable to access the GoogleSite.
The above should be completed by Term 1 Week 8 (24 February 2012)
Level Tests on 13 -17 February
Besides the Level Test Schedule (which you should have already referred to last week), the slides that Ms Tay used for the Level briefing in the Morning Assembly last Monday is also available at the GoogleSite.

Sec 1 CCA Allocation
The 2012 Sec 1 CCA allocation is completed and can be found at the CCA site under the Announcement Page in the Sec 1 students' domain. You can start your CCA next Monday or Wednesday.

2012 Science Lecture Series (Sec 3): The Chemistry of Love - Rated PG
The Science Department is launching the 2012 Science Lecture Series for Sec 3 students this week.
To kickstart the series, we are proud to have Dr Christopher Slatter (Subject Head, Chemistry) to deliver a lecture entitled The Chemistry of Love.
Synopsis: The Chemistry of Love - Rated PG
People involved in a loving relationship are often said to have a certain "Chemistry", but does a loving relationship really involve molecules and chemical reactions? It certainly does! In the first SST Science Lecture of the year we will discover the role that Chemistry - with a little help from Biology, Mathematics and Psychology - has to play in the human emotion called "Love."
The presentation will cover:
- + The Chemistry of men - testosterone.
- + The Chemistry of women - oestrogens.
- + The Mathematics of beauty.
- + Pheromones - the smell of love.
- + The colour of love.
- + Love as a drug - the central nervous system.
- + Addicted to love.
- + The Mathematics of dating.
- Dates: 9 Feb (Thur), 14 Feb (Tues)
- Time: 1430-1530h
- Venue: Lecture Room
- Maximum number of participants: 100
Interested students who do not have formal lessons, Support Class or CCA on these days, are welcome to attend the lecture.
